Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about VitriStable™ technology, feasibility studies, partner engagement, and the path toward ambient-stable biological products.

Common Questions

What is VitriBiome?

VitriBiome is a proprietary stabilization technology company focused on helping sensitive biological materials become ambient-stable, format-ready products for global distribution.

What does the platform do?

VitriStable™ combines proprietary stabilization formulations with specialized drying protocols to preserve viability, activity, and performance enabling long-term storage, transport, and distribution.

How is VitriStable™ different from freeze-drying?
What biological materials can be stabilized?

Conventional freeze-drying relies on sublimation from a frozen state and often requires long and harsh drying cycles. VitriStable™ uses a differentiated formulation-and-drying approach designed to reduce process stress and support ambient-stable outcomes.

The platform is designed for sensitive biological materials including probiotics, enzymes, microbial actives, live biotherapeutics, and other bioactive ingredients where stability is commercially important.

Who does VitriBiome work with?

We work with ingredient leaders, innovation teams, product developers, CMOs/CDMOs, and companies developing proprietary biological materials or differentiated product formats.

Is VitriBiome a CMO?

No. VitriBiome is a technology partner, not a toll manufacturer. We provide proprietary stabilization technology that can integrate with existing production and commercialization pathways.

Does it require proprietary equipment?

No specialized new production equipment is required for most development pathways. VitriStable™ is designed to work with conventional lyophilization infrastructure using specialized formulations and drying protocols.

What is a feasibility study?

A feasibility study is an initial technical program used to evaluate VitriStable™ compatibility with a specific material and establish baseline stabilization potential.

What stability data is available?

VitriBiome has substantial stability data across multiple biological materials and storage conditions. Selected validation data can be shared during early discussions, with deeper technical results available under appropriate confidentiality terms. Certain partner-specific data may remain restricted under existing confidentiality agreements.

What product formats are supported?

VitriStable™ is designed to support stabilized dry powders that can be incorporated into capsules, sachets, tablets, films, stick packs, and other delivery formats depending on the material, application, and manufacturing pathway.

What industries do you serve?

VitriBiome serves companies working across human and consumer health, functional ingredients, live biotherapeutics, industrial enzymes, and agricultural biologicals.

How to start working together?

The process typically begins with a technical discussion to understand the material, target application, stability goals, and potential feasibility pathway.
